Kuhleborn – The Songs

The local London songwriting duo Marcel Gelinas and Adrian Torrington have teamed up with the Philip Aziz Foundation of Art to write the theme song for the Kuhleborn canoe trip and The Story Book Tree.

The song Kuhleborn and Artists On The Water came to life as a result.

Kuhleborn: The Thames River Revisited

After the first couple songs were written there was a wave of inspiration that brought more energy into the project.  Gelinas and Torrington had created an entire epic album dedicated to the canoe trip.  Some of the highlights of the trip have been captured in “Spring Hollow”, the song of the wishing well, “The Lights At Tait Bridge”, where during a night of camping the paddlers could not tell the difference between the fireflies and the stars, and “Dawn, Canada”, a song for Josiah Henson and the Underground Railroad at the original Dawn Settlement.

Dawn, Canada is the first song on the album to be professionally recorded at EMAC Studios in London, Ontario.  It can be heard on the music player at Marcel’s Website where it can also be purchased for $0.99 to help support the project.  Dawn, Canada was sponsored by The Promised Land Project.
