Follow Me – Pope John Paul II
Follow Me - Pope John Paul II
Philip Aziz’s Follow Me painting, a tribute to Pope John Paul II, was unveiled at a media gala and well received. It’s future home may lead back to the Vatican, where Philip already has two other Masterpieces on display.

I have just discovered this artist – today. I bought what I think must be print of his “life Cycle of a Pine Tree #9″. I was really “taken by it”, but didn’t know the artist. This eve I have had the pleasure of learning about one of the truly great people, (as well as artists) of my time! I wish I could have had the pleasure of knowing him. While living outside Kansas City, Kansas I found, and loved knowing, what I think is the first accepted woman iconographer in the U.S. She had painted the ceiling of the Greek Orthodox Church in Kansas City, as well as 40+ other churches then. It was she, Claire fried-grove, that first interested me in the very lovely blend of religion and art. Claire had a special exhibit at the 1965 World’s Fair. I met her in the mid 1980′s. I am so glad to have found Philip Aziz! He is most certainly special ! I am sure I will continue to enjoy learning more about him and his work.
Thank you,
